bad luck after bad luck after bad luck? how good are corsairs PSU's?

lately I have been having really bad luck first it starts off with my brothers alienware PC

the PSU died.. ok so I replaced it, then we thought the FX board was dead but it wasn't we installed command centre latest version then it fixed it smile.gif

then it kept playing up with boardcomm pxe rom issue we fixed it even though it wasn't as simple as a quick bios change... and then.. the graphics card drivers wasn't working kept

saying this display driver is not attached to an Nvidia GPU.. ok so I tried over and over and still no luck with the drivers..even reinstalled OS 3 times and even dled the drivers off dell website.

anyway I tried this GPU in my computer.. and the same thing happened mind you this GPU is the GTX 295...anyway it was only in my comp for 5 mins to see if it would work with drivers.. so it didn't
I could now say 100% it was the faulty card.. so I put my small zotac gt240 as I sold my gtx 670 and awaiting a new card when its in stock.. but to my amazement .. nothing was on the display... ok I think to myself..
not something else please! I tried the gpu in another slot.. nothing.. tried another spare gpu.. nothing.. ok my thoughts are PSU is gone.. tried my spare xigmatek PSU which to be honest has been a solider,.. boom the PC fires up and theres signal to the monitor.. So.. basically my corsair HX650 Gold Plus has just died on me in minutes.. this is the second time now..this PSU is only 2-3 months old not even that..
I don't have money to keep sending this PSU back to netherlands!! dont buy a hx650! or maybe dont buy a corsair PSU? I dont know what to think of their PSUs now to be honest considering my xigmatek has been working like a charm forever, anyway now I don't even know if the PSU has taken out anything in the process as loading into windows has been very laggy etc it could have effected parts in my PC.. i just wonder if Corsair are willing to replace them if it has as these parts, well most are not even a few months old...

Rant Over mad.gif btw all these events happened in the space of 2 days

It very much depens the Corsair CX is not very good and the GS is just so average

Only the TX HX and AX are really good but you can often just as good or better then the Corsair ones

Antec PSU's have always been good to me. I recently picked up a Thermaltake PSU... but haven't had it long enough to really say one way or another.

Unfortunately, even the TX and HX also have problems...

What can I say man... I'm in the same boat. Corsair make great products in general, their customer support has been very nice so far, but their PSUs are just a giant failure.

Will think very hard before ever buying another one from them.

I avoid Corsair and Cooler Master because they are basically box makers: They get OEMs and stick their name on it. Yes, one could get a good corsair but it needs a lot of searching.

e.g. even some AX models were bad lately (the whine coil thing).
