I'm on a fairly tight budget as far as building a computer looking at hopefully not more then $500.

However, I have a fairly nice monitor, keyboard. mouse, and windows 7 already.

I also have this hard drive if it will suffice

Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 ST31000528AS 1TB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive

I would be really grateful for any help that anyone here can provide.
Microcenter?

That HDD you own should be fine

Unfortunately, the CX430 and CX430M have irresistible prices. Although, I would still spend more on a better PSU.

They are not irresistible unless you have to have a PSU that cost less than $25

If you up it to 600 I would say get a solid state drive with any of the above mentioned builds.

Also, this is the power draw at the wall outlet. So if the PSU is 85% efficient while pulling 289W from the wall outlet, then the computer is pulling 245W from the PSU.

It's a computer!

If you can reuse your case or PSU then that gives you more breathing room. Personally i wish that the haswell i3's were out then you could go that route.
