for the given price range budget for the GPU im goin to suggest the HD 7870 XT(tahiti version)..... if your goin to overclock this 7870 you can attain the stock performance of HD 7970 card(which is equivalent to GTX 770 card) and im sure it will be more powerful compare to GTX 760 card...

I find the popular 760 X 2 option rushed.

It might be smarter to get one 770 now and if in the future you need a big boost, get a second.

An SLI now basically locks you to that. No reasonable upgrading on it is possible.
