Steel Series Xai has been my favorite gaming mouse overall that I have ever had. It has been replaced by the Sensei now which is a bit heavier at 102 grams. The form factor of the Sensei is exactly the same as the Xai and it is actually a pretty big mouse, personally I can't stand smaller ones. I assume you are going wired since you are using it for FPS's, plus the weight of 2 AA batteries is about 50 grams by themselves. Currently I am using a Razer Naga Hex on my desktop and carrying my Xai in my laptop bag.

Here is a link to a Sensei with the rubberized finish. For me switching to a glossy mouse (Naga) from my rubberized Xai wasn't a big change, I didn't even notice it after a very short break in period. The coating on my Xai is in decent condition, I've had it for about 3 years now with about 2 years of heavy use on my desktop. There are some smooth spots and the coating is kind of pitted in some areas, but it still feels good and I like using it.

The software for tuning is pretty good IMHO, I like it better than Razer's. Accuracy of the Xai is also quite good and I am pretty impressed with it's laser. The LCD screen on the bottom of the mouse is kind of a gimmick it lets you check what profile you are using, but that's about it. I think it has a bit more functionality in the new version though.

Thanks, Ill put the Sensei Raw in the poll. I think have a chance for be a well suited gaming mouse for me. It's smaller than my Deathadder and weighs less, though I wish would be a little bit smaller and weight 5 grams less, but overall it probably would be great for me.
