Almost done smile.gif. Thought about integrating the system into the desk but I don't have time for that. Got a gambit of doctor's and laboratory appointments in the next few weeks so I'm keeping it simple. Just need some final sanding and the first polyurethane coat goes on. Broke down part of my system last night to pull the sold Enermax and I need to prep the GTX 360 for sale.

Have been eying the TH10 for a while. Its slightly smaller in height and depth vs the 900D but its hella wide biggrin.gif. MH10 is also appealing especially to add casters. I would contact Jim to see if they can omit the hp-atx layout and just do an e-atx/xl-atx instead. STH-10 a tad too tall for my desk now frown.gif. Going to leave this for down the road as its going to be a pretty penny for this case.

Tough last few days. I'm off the meds for an up coming lab test (sucks big time frown.gif) but I managed to finish the desk. What an improvement.

Before: Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

Very cheap and not good use of the L shape desk imho.

After:

Missing the edge veneer trim. I don't like the color i picked up and i have to wait for the right one to come in. Those white brackets are actually shelf braces. Thought about squirting them satin black but I'm too tired, I need to test my new cards, family functions, cleaning up (inside and outside frown.gif), dealing w/ my illeness, etc. etc., etc. I'm worn out so I just want to make sure all four Lightnings arrived ok and put my build back together. Fourth screen comes in on Tuesday. Still pending shipping the 5th.

Oh, and this showed up today biggrin.gif

thank you good sir smile.gif. Can't wait to get back on my meds. Life is miserable without them to control my illness. But, doctors orders as they want to see how elevated or severe I am without the interference of drugs.

Previous owner sent the BE card stock so I plopped that heavy bad-boy and I'm installing drivers right now. Only unusual thing (and he mentioned this) is that there's no screws for the other three stock coolers. I really don't like to plunge a card on a block for the first time. These Lighting (or special cooler MSI) cards typically have only four screws holding the pcb to the cooler. Might have some screws lying around or I can share the BE ones since its block will be going back on as soon as it passes some benchmarks.

Downloading the CCC package and its gonna be a while. Off to a family function for now. More news later today when I get a chance. One thing, the wife seems mighty proud of my creation. Enough to overlook the huge a$$ package that arrived that is the Lightnings!

Polyurethane still smells a bit but I don't care. Victory smells sweeter! Nothing like a fine diy project that comes out almost, perfect (well, close enough wink.gif.

Thank you dude thumb.gif

BE is up and running, just installing drivers. Will run it through 3dMark Vantage, 11, & 13.

Hope you'll enjoy these Nvidia cards. I'll miss em gold fish....but I'll get over them once the 5th screen arrives tongue.gif.

It's my pleasure man. I've been on the red side for close to seven years, I think. Every time I wanted to try an nvidia card, ati would just drop their prices or some other great deal would present itself. You've finally made it possible for me to try out the other side! So thank you. biggrin.gif

I have massive respect for the way Amd plays its cards (figuratively). It always seems to have some kind of trick up sleeves. Though granted, it can be a love-hate thing but I know lots of folks who work out the kinks or never have issues at all.

I've always had a fascination with 5x1 and 3x2 Eyefinity setups. Since I'm a devout Portrait user, I naturally gravitate to 5x1 Portrait. Its just so extreme w/ five screens and I"m eager to get it going soon.

Got done testing the BE card. Switching the cooler over to the first of the three PE cards. Just running a few benchmarks and checking AB monitoring for any anomalies.

Just got a small order in on ebay for some screws. Rather spend twice via mcmastercarr.com or six times to get them from the manufacturer, good ol' fleabay to the rescue. Should have them by the end of the week and hopefully all four under water. Crossing fingers the 5th monitor is shipped on Monday and arrives by Saturday.

On a side note: happy to report I made my last payment on my car loan. Unfortunately, some, ahem, person not using their brain to their minmum capacity decided to backup into my card an smash the front end grill and bumper. Nothing severe but it irks me to have made it this far w/ the car loan and some idiot decides to leave their mark on it rolleyes.gif . Luckily, witness called the cops, cops showed up, person returned (lucky they did) and got their insurance info. So their insurance is going to fix my car and give me a free rental for now. Never had a rental before but I know some are just complete basket cases. Hope they won't issue one like that and pin it on me rolleyes.gif. Another road bump in a bumpy road already frown.gif

I'm pretty sure AMD and Nintendo are in cahoots =P
AMD launches its cards just like Nintendo launches hardware, remember the Wii?

Sorry to hear about your car brotha!!
