Need help wid my opty 165 CCBBE

Im a bit stuck on this

This is what ive done so far.

i underclocked my mem to 100mhz{ddr200} so i can find the max for cpu Which is about 2.8ghz before temps are maxing out at 53c {seems to be stable there, until i lap it}

Then i underclocked my cpu by changing the cpu multi from 9 to 6 so then i can find my max for my mem @200mhz {ddr400} which was
1T 3-4-4-12 = 270fsb htt multi x3 max voltage 2.85
2T 3-4-4-12 = 300fsb htt multi x3 max voltage 2.85

So am i correct in saying that @ 200mhz{ddr400} i cant hit 3ghz?
Unless i run my mem @ 166mhz {ddr333}

Or am i just chatting jibberish

Put your FSB at 260 to start with and a multi of 10x.

CPU voltage at 1.4 - 1.5

Mem Clock Limit @ 200 (1:1 with the FSB)

And timings of 3-4-4-8

That should get the Opty 165 stable at 2.6 ghz

those are horrible memory timings for corsiar ddr550.

if you want to hit 2.8 GHz use these settings.

HTT = 312
HT = 2.5x
vcore = 1.5v
vmem = 2.85v
vchip = 1.65v
PCIe clock = 108 MHz

don't forget to disable CPU spread spectrum before you change your HTT.

also w/ those loose memory timings you should be able to run 1:1 w/ your cpu.

and the opty 165 doesn't have a 10x multi, its only 9x...

your memory should do it. whats the full stepping of your proc? run a 166 divider, and set your HTT to 334, CPU multi 9x and HT multi 2.5x. vcore 1.5 and memory 2.85v. let it fly and see what it does. if it isn't stable just keep on upping the vcore until it gets there. be sure to watch your temps.

CCBBE 0610DPMW

I have been trying to max out my mem but it wont take it.
275mhz @ 2.85v 1T 2.5-3-3-8 {200mhz ddr400}
290mhz @ 2.85v 2T 2.5-3-3-8 {200mhz ddr400}

300mhz @ 2.85v 2T 3-4-4-8 {200mhz ddr400}

I am currently using 1.c final TCCD bios by sideeffect.
It has alot more memory options but ive not toched them.

Does anyone know what is the highest fsb this memory goes up to or other recommended settings for this memory

Sweet name!! (kaks)

KEep in mind that Opty 165's don't usually agree with too low of a memory divider, so 1:2 prolly wasn;t stable because it was too low. DDR550, should get you a 180 divider for 3.0 GHz, which should be just fine.

All the tests above ive done so far are 1:1 {ddr400}
I think ill have to run a divider though to reach 3ghz.
I think the problem is my board it dosent like 300+

Try lowering your CPU multi to 6-7x, then put a divider on your RAM (I'd say a 150 divider should suffice). Then start upping the FSB past 300 and see how high she will go before BSOD or no boot. Lower it about 10mhz and dual P95 it overnight (about 8 hours or so). This will tell you the highest your mobo will go.

Edit: also, try if you still can't find stability, I've just been reading that you may need to up your PCI-E speed. Start low, and keep it under 112. You may be able to go higher, but you may also ruin hardware after longer periods if you stay up that high.

This is a agp board

i am running a divider and now my cpu isnt getting stable pass 2.5ghz no matter how much voltage i give it
