Hey everyone,

I'm installing windows 7 professional on a new computer I just build and i'm trying to install windows on my ssd but have everything for the user on my hdd can anyone walking me through how I can do this.

If you simply want to have all your "Libraries" such as Music, Videos, Documents etc... located on your HDD you can manually link those "libraries" to folders on your HDD, I don't see much point in relocating the entire user folder ...

Once you've got Windows installed, just go to C:\Users\username

There you should find everything like Documents, Pictures, and Downloads.

Right click on any one you want to move, select properties from the drop-down menu, and then go to the 'Location' tab.

There you can change the path for each folder. To just move the folder from one drive to another, change

C:\Users\username\Pictures

to

D:\Users\username\Pictures

Or whatever drive letter is appropriate.
