To build a big chart that's actually valid, you need to test all the fans using the exact same method.

Hardware.info recently did a big roundup, and Martin's Liquid Labs has some nice comparisons.


EDIT: But you COULD assemble a massive fan "ranking" at different noise levels based on their relative performance in many tests.
