Maybe, but I uninstalled, rebooted in safe mode, used driver sweeper, rebooted again, then installed AMD drivers.

Do it again and use the AMD cleanup utility as well...tongue.gif
Cpu clocks?
Did you check to see if the card was throttling during the bench?
Lots of things could go wrong, you should get better scores in general.

overvolt both and test different games too....that'll gi ve you a clear picture.

a good 7970 GHz OC'd and good 670 OC'd would probably be a lot closer than most people are putting it.

the 7970 should still edge out the 670 at that res no matter what

Ok, thanks for the info, will try cleaning up the driver remnants again. My CPU is at 4.2 Ghz, that shouldn't be throttling a single card set up but I'll check anyway.

Unfortunately, I sold the 670 to pay for the 7970, so I can't do any further direct comparisons.

Try the 50% powertune bios mod thing, worked like a charm for me.
I can run 1300/1940mhz in 3dmark01, and game at 1250/1850 with lowish volts...

Ok, I think I may have found the problem, for some reason GPU usage is only around 80%
Edit: nope, that's not it, was observing 80% usage in a game and when I ran Valley again it went back to 99%

Your score seems fine.. here is my 7950 at 1200/1500 @ 1440p with the same settings. Although yours is 1250 and I would need something like 1325 mhz on the core to equate it. But it seems right.

Yeah, I think the 1440p resolution just has a big impact on the score
