What? A Cash shop in a p2p MMO? Not sure how I feel about that, but it says certain regions so I'll wait to make judgment.

Not really an auction house. I thought the same thing until actually reading part of the article.

Blizzard fessed up to “exploring” the option after dataminers discovered references to real-money items – for instance, a 100 percent XP boost called the Enduring Elixir of Wisdom – while digging through test server updates
Not that these are better but this is the same microtransaction model the F2P MMO's use. Why do this in a P2P MMO? Doesn't make sense.

They might be considering going f2p as well, never know. Although it wouldn't surprise me if they stayed p2p.

they're an american company. american companies are about endless money grabs, surely you know this by now

It makes perfect sense for them to do it in a P2P MMO. If millions of people are willing to spend $25 for a mount/$10 for a mini pet I bet people will buy other things as well.

100 percent XP boost called the Enduring Elixir of Wisdom

We went from a grind, to lowering XP demands from previous expansions with the release of a new expansion, to gear that speeds up leveling, recruit-a-friend, ...

We really need another item to speed up XP gains? I hope FFIV is good come August.

0-90 in a day ---> Raid Finder ---> Next Character

What ever makes them money man, turns out people like alts and since leveling is the worst part for most people who really cares. And besides who is really surprised about this? GW2's cash shop does amazing, just another way for blizzard to make some extra profit on the side.
