[PG] World Of Warcraft Real Money Shop Being Tested. - Page 13

Blizzard: Normal=see the content, Heroic=beat the content. I do not totally endorse this point of view but I can see where they come from. Back in Ulduar days, devs discovered that only a handful of players actually beat Yogg/Algalon (1% or less it was) so they went with the normal/heroic approach in order to offer the chance to non elite players to actually finish raids. The irony is that Ulduar was released in April 2009 and only remained as top raid up until August 2009- one of the shortest periods ever including a midsummer period. Of course it would be hard for people to finish this. I still consider it the best MMORPG raid of all times, btw.

Most people do. I raid very casually and the only raid I've actually gotten serious about was Ulduar. It was by far my favorite, and the favorite of most of the people I played with. The devs are often reminded of this but it doesn't seem it help.

You are attacking Blizzard for the wrong reasons. While they are horrible with some of their pricing schemes and money grabs that sometimes are purely unethical in terms of e-sporting (see milking transfers from dead servers and indirectly selling gold with pets etc.), they are definitely not without offering a challenge:

I lived first hard the Heroic Ragnaros era pre-nerf. Sure, they nerfed it after a while and sure there was normal mode, but if you wanted to prove you're a "man" you had plenty of space to do it while it was unnerfed and insanely hard (especially in 25).

So yeah, you can badmouth "carebears" all you want but you have no excuse: Tons of people had an opportunity to kill such a boss while at its hardest and very few achieved it. Be a Hero then.

edit: But, I will realize that as many MMOs out there they are milking grinding so much - mindless grinding that needs almost no effort, just to milk monthly fees - that I do not know if I can excuse them that just because they offer a challenge, sometimes. smile.gif

Considering the BS that they pulled with D3, I really hope their future projects flop horribly. I use to be such a huge fan of Blizzard too...

Come on Blizzard... didn't you learn from D3?

Like D3, I hope this will also lead to the end of WoW. That moneymilker needs to die already.

I liked Blizzard back in D2 days ;P I had faith in them... I honestly doubt TITAN is going to be as huge as WoW was though
