Plus if you are worried about heat dump from the pump spin your rads fans higher, that will help.
IMO you will not see a measurable difference in temps on any blocks.
Your right you won't see a measureable difference on just 1 D5. I was talking more about the guy with 3... You will def notice a difference with 3.
As the D5 runs faster the loop cools just a tad bit better and the D5 dumps a little more heat in and they about even each other out. Since increasing the flow past a certain point is barely measureable and increasing the temp is barely measureable it just gets to the point where it doesn't matter and increasing the speed doesn't mean decreasing the temp.
Still though the DDC is not air cooled any more than the D5 is... A good reason why the DDC doesn't have any real design to take advantage of airflow around it. It wasn't until someone though oh hey we can make a heatsink for this and make some money did people start thinking that was the case.
Still though with the D5... just make sure it isn't touching anything and isn't mounted to anything. If you can just kind of make it dangle or float from a tube reservoir that would be best. It's vibrations will be dampened by the small amount of tubing between the tube res and the D5 and then the tube res can be mounted.
