Black Case | SSD Cage | GTX 780

Hi Everyone,

I recently purchased the items in this build. The remaining parts arrived today so I started to assemble my new rig... Long-story short... My Gigabyte Aurora Case physically cannot fit the GTX 780 ACX because of the riveted HD cage. Another minor issue is that the case does not have a cage for SSDs. So where does this leave me? Disappointed by the fact that I am not gaming right now, but in the market for a new case! I do not really have a budget, but I would like it to be a reasonably priced (black) Full ATX Case that is capable of holding SSDs, a Noctua NH-D14 and a GTX 780 ACX. Nothing too fancy - Just functional.

Thanks for your help ahead of time!

How many storage drives are you running, you made it sound like you only have a couple SSDs. If thats the case you you can remove the HDD cage. Rivets are easy to remove you just drill them out. Get some 3M double sided sticky tape and you can mount your SSDs literally anywhere. Get a little creative and get your rig built and start gaming. thumb.gif

I ran this case for a while and LOVED it. A lot of features for the price.

You'd be better off with a Corsair or NZXT or the like if you want to spend more. Maybe a Corsiar 600T or Phantom/Phantom 820.

I will only have 1-2 SSD and 1-2 HDD in the case at one time.

Not a big fan of the 600T or the Phantom.. Any other suggestions?

Thanks!

Go with the Fractal design Arc Midi (+-100 bucks) or the Fractal design Core 3000 (about 70bucks)
