How to keep a soundcard or take care of it?

Hey guys just bought a Sound Blaster Z few days ago, i just want to ask is there any thing you have to do or cant do to the soiund card in order to keep the sound in good condition for example like dont put the bass too high or too high in one time or any other things? first time using a sound card! cheers

Also any sound baster Z users can share ur driver set up? and while u guys are not gaming do you have the SBX on or off cheers!

Uhh... It doesn't matter what you do software-vise, bass does not affect the soundcard in any way.
Similar to GPU, it either works perfectly or not at all.

I use headphones to game (AD700's) and I use sbx on with surround set to 72% and crystalizer set to 25% Bass set to off and I like to set the eq off for gaming.

On gaming, surround 70%, crystalizer 50%, bass 40%
For music, i disable surround and crystalizer.
I used scout mode in online game, to hear enemy steps, but sounds like a crap.
