san andreas crashes when i change resolution - Page 2

I can't think of anything, sorry.
I've had some appcrashes when the wire on the psu was bad. I switched it with dvd-rw one.
But in your case its just one game.

There is a resolution fix for the game by Anton Barycheuski , google for san andreas resolution fix. Try with that. It gives more options and might fix the issue.

Are you using the official patch or the original out of box version?

I know the patch changes some graphical settings, such as allowing higher resolution options.

If you aren't already using the official patch, try installing that.

Could be your game then coz that resolution fix works fine for me. No BSOD.

You should give this program a try: http://www.gta-downloads.com/en/gta-san-andreas/tools/2618-advanced-settings.html
You will be able to change the res and settings without doing it in the game.
