Lacrossewhacker mentioned creating a Progam Files (x86) on his HDD as well. Since that is 32 bit, do you actively place programs in that? Sorry for the basic questions.

Regarding the Program Files (x86) folder, I still keep that on my SSD since I still have lots of 32-bit programs that install there.

TBH, there's really no right or wrong way to do it. What says on the SSD or what gets moved to the spinner depends on the user and/or how the PC gets used. Moving all the Documents, Music, Movies, etc... to the mechanical drive is a good place to start since it's quite straight forward with Windows, they consume lots of space, and generally don't benefit from the uber speed of an SSD. If you find you're still in a space crunch, you can always look at what is sucking up the most space (WinDirStat is a good utility for things like this) and make adjustments accordingly. smile.gif

All my programs are on SSD. Only game I have is SC2 (and emulators) so for apps+programs+games, even a 120GB SSD is more than sufficient for me. One reason I generally opt for a bigger mid-range SSD vs smaller high-end SSD is so I don't have to worry about micro-managing space.

Documents, I just leave on the SSD as they're quite small anyway. I think I've got less than 200MB worth of Excel, Word and PDF files.

Hmm, I don't actually move the user folders, rather I just don't use them. I have a dedicated file server for my media so that's where all the big/shared files go. That's my Z: drive and contains the following root folders:

Anime
Backup
Downloads
Games (PSX/PS2 isos + SNES roms)
Manga
Misc
Movies
Music

Thanks guys, thats helpful. I think Ive got a pretty good idea, the rest I'll just figure out as I go. My biggest files are really photos and some adobe stuff which dont do too much of anymore, so should be too much of an issue.
