Number/Size of Radiators Needed

Thread Starter
Hi everyone, so I plan to cool my 780 with the HydroCopper (Swiftech) waterblock this weekend and just that but I was wondering how many or what size Radiators should I get? I am using a smaller 650D case and I don't plan to heavily overclock anything on that GPU as I only play RTS games. I was thinking of just getting a dual 120mm Radiator maybe a dual 140mm Radiator. Do I need more then that?

Thanks, Bryan.

Dual 140's will be sufficient for a 780. It'll get a bit toasty if you're going with a CPU+GPU setup. CPU might see slightly better temps while the GPU will see a massive decrease in temps. Though, if noise is reason to go water cooling, by all means go for it.

CPU will NOT be in this loop, just the GPU

120.2 is enough, 140.2 is better. Then you have thickness of rad for your case and fpi (fins per inch) to take into consideration which depends on what type of fans you plan on using, slow 1000rpm (silent) or fast (audible) or extreme 2000+rpm (crazy loud past 3000rpm). Lots of options out there.

^This. A 120mm with a moderate speed fan will do. A bigger rad will allow for lower speed fans (less noise). A 140mm optimized for 1000 rpm fans would IMO be a great choice.

Thanks for the Response Guys I could do something like this but, I think it's a but much if I'm only doing GPU on my system, or maybe it isn't, see as I already have a fan at the bottom anyways?

If you are water cooling I would do the CPU to as its going to add that much more cost.
