AMD FX 8350 Hick Up Need Overclocking Help

I currently running my AMD FX 8350 at stock speed whenever i use prime 95 to test it does this weird hick up thing were the speed drop off for a sec. Im out of ideas on what to do i have recorded it in this youtube video below whats happening.

That's normal for the ASRock 970 Extreme 4. They throttle. It's not a great board for 8 Cores, and really not good to OC on.

Do you think shutting down 4 cores and making it a quad core with an overclock would work?

It would help, but in the end it's a 4 + 1 phase board. I have one in my wives machine. I have to be careful, the 960T in it unlocks to an x6 and is stable at 4.2GHz.... But only on my Crosshair V mobo. It quickly overheats the VRMs on her AsRock board.
