24 pin connector just got fried. What the likely hood that some components were lost?

Earlier today, my PC just sorta crapped out. Last night, it just stopped working and the standby lights stayed on. The same thing happened earlier this afternoon but it never came back on. Everything worked for a total of maybe 5 minutes, but everything worked. No less, the 24 pin slot on the mobo was fried in a couple places and the diagnostic tool was reading F.F.

As shown above. My question is, what are my chances that my CPU, GPUs and sound card were damaged? I see no visible signs of damage on any of the components but at the moment, I have no ways to try them out. Is there anyone with suggestions?

looks like a surge on the 12volt line...that or bad connection...

depending on how many rails your psu has, it is very possible that the 12 volt rail that the 24 pin plug is on was the only faulty one.

do you have graphic cards?? check the connectors on it.

is the 4/8 pin plug on the cpu connector ok?

after googling, your psu has one 12 volt rail.

was your 24 pin connector pulled really tight?

did you use cable extensions?

The graphics cards look just fine as does the sound card. But no, it wasn't stressed or pulled tightly. It had plenty of slack.

Were you using more than one monitor? yes. There is a 12v molex right above the 24 pin connector. If you would have had the molex connected that would not have happened. Thats what that molex is for. With more than 1 monitor there is too much stress on the 24 pin hence it melts

Sorry that does not matter. Damage is done . Did you use the molex then either, no. How do you think I knew you had more than one monitor connected to it?

I hope Asus covers an rma. I doubt it. Again thats the whole point of having the aux board molex in the first place. Im sure it says that in the boards user guide. This is from TT

ASUS put an extra 4-pin Molex connector for board power up here; while the extra power is nice, the location is a tad awkward.

Mine didn't have that connection.

This is what I have. There's no molex connection on there at all. Unless I'm missing something somewhere. Was that a feature they put on there after a certain point? I've been a bit out of the loop since 1156 went out of style. I don't want this to happen again so I'm doing whatever I can to avoid this.

Its the same board. Its WHITE just to the left of the main 24 pin. Read the board manual. This pic is from your newegg link. See it? Just to the left towards the top. Underneath the word BOARD. They started putting aux board power on after the lga775
