$200-$300 Budget Tablet

Thread Starter
Looking for a tablet that can play ROMs (N64, SNES, NES) and Media (movies/tv shows mainly) for my upcoming business traveling.

Not looking to spend more than $200 but I can spend up to $300.

I do not want a tablet that is unable to do the above mentioned tasks lag-free. I used to have a TF101 and loved the fact it had a keyboard dock plus it could handle my gaming/media needs. This was useful for extra battery life and also a stand for when I was gaming thumb.gif

I might get a used TF101 again but maybe someone has a better suggestion? Also looking at Nexus7 and Toshiba 7.7. Are there any more I should consider for my $300 budget?...

Thanks

The Toshiba looks pretty tasty at $250.

Anyone? I can't make my mind up.

I can spend up to $300 and not any more. I would like to spend $200 if possible.

I would prefer a bigger screen although I know at this price point it may not be possible.

Battery life is important but I will never be using it for more than 6 hours before I am able to charge it again.

Please give me your recommendations! thumb.gif

Thank you

This guy is selling an ASUS TF300T for $200. Surprised it's still there, awesome tablet. http://www.overclock.net/t/1275231/asus-transformer-tf300t-32gb-blue/0_50

If I had the money it would have been mine.

you could pick up a nook HD+ for $150 and root it, 9" screen at 1920x1280. I had one for a little bit, sold it though, I would rater have the smaller screen of a nexus than having a big screen that was slow, unresponsive, and used the cheaper style "grid" touchscreen.

Ya I saw that. I just don't know if the ASUS is the way to go. I had a TF101 for a long time but want to see if there are better options.

Yea I don't know about the nook. Can it handle N64 roms and playing movies? How is the graphic processor for that?

I've no idea on the GPU of it, But its cheap, so I don't think it can do what you are wanting, I just used it for comic reading, it was slower than my iphone, so I never used it so I sold it off. but for the under $200 range your not gonna get blazing fast speed anyway.
