Nvidia GTX 760 Overclocking Results (Zotac Edition)

Thread Starter
Hey guys i got my new system yesterday and have spent the last hour or so overclocking my Zotac GTX 760. I thought i would share my results for anyone wanting
to use other peoples results as a sort of guide/reference as i have done so myself in the past.

Heaven Bench 4.0 Results

Extreme Preset

Overclocking Tool - MSI Afterburner

Fan Speed - 100%

Voltage - Cannot Change

Power Limit - Max (115%)

Results (Core/Mem Clocks)

Stock Score = 997/69c

+100/0 = 1051/70c

+125/0 = 1063/70c

+125/100 = 1073/70c

+150/100 = Driver Crash

+135/100 = Driver Crash

+125/100 Retest = 1077/70c

+125/150 = 1082/71c

+125/180 = 1089/71c

+125/200 = 1091/71c

+125/225 = Driver Crash

+125/215 = 1092/71c

The highest i was able to achieve on both clocks with the Zotac Geforce GTX 760 was +125/215. I however chose to set my 24/7 overclock to +125/200 for extra stability
seeing as the +15 mem difference only gave me 1 more score in the Heaven results.

Monitoring the Core and Memory clock graphs in MSI AB, i never saw any throttling at all.

One thing to watch out for when the driver crashes, which i didnt notice at first because i was wearing headphones, is that the fan speed will revert back to auto,
even if it says its on manual. I got around this just by hitting 'reset' then manually choosing my settings again.

Setting up a custom fan profile.

Noise levels - Anything up to 60% i could barely hear

- 70% Noticable ( a little bit whiney, not too much to notice though)

- 80% Noisey ( pretty whiney)

- 90% Noisey but still not unbearable

- 100% Starting to take off XD

Running heaven again at the 125/200 clock and a manual fan speed of 50%, i noticed the core clock starting to throttle at around 80c exactly.

At this point it down clocked itself at 1150 most of the time from 1241 with a few fluctuations in order to maintain its temperature at 80c.

Based on these results i obviously dont want to go over 80c. To play it safe, im going to try and keep temps at around 75-77c.

I also want to try and keep fan speeds under 90% to reduce noise levels.

Shown above is my end fan profile. Well i say end it was actually the first one i tried and it gave good reults (im just awesome like that)

Jk, but anyways, using this fan profile gave me a good balance of noise and temps.

Max temperature reached 76c and max speed reached 82% by the end of another heaven bench which gave no throttling at all.

RESULTS

Stock Score = 997/69c

Final Score = +125/200 = 1091/71c

Max Temp 76c, max fan speed 82%.

Its amazing how close this card is to the gtx 670, only being about 5-8% behind when overclocked.

The 670 costing about £270 still where the Zotac 670 cost me just £200. Definately best card for your money right now =)

Dont forget to +rep if my results help you out at all!

Thank for reading!
