Stage 3... RAM

Thread Starter
Ok so far you guys have been very helpful in my quest to OC my rig.

So far i've got my CPU and Graphics card OC'd to a reasonable standard, now i need help with my RAM.

Looking round it seems RAM timings depend on a lot of different things, so i'll try and give as much info as possible.

Im running on 2x1024mb sticks of Corsair Value Select DDR2

Currently in not sure what my RAM timings are but im going to find out next time i reboot.

Any ideas on what i should look to try and get in the way of timings?

Use CPU-Z to find your timings. Do you have the 533mhz or the 667 sticks?

I'm not sure why your precharge isn't showing, maybe someone with an MSI board could explain.

I'm not too sure if it works on those AM2's, but check out A64 tweaker. It shows all of your RAM timings. It also lets you change them, but I wouldn't suggest it since it will more often than not lock up your PC.

You should look for DDR800+ with timmings of 4-4-4-15 or less. And be sure the ram has D9 chips on them.

Crucial and gskill have some of the best sticks out.
