that's interesting - which 660ti do you have?

As for PPD I was getting around 60-110k on core17's (average was around 65k)

I was using it for the foldathon but also had a cpu going adding a small amount. It's the one in my sig rig. Think i was doing advanced flags instead of the beta can't remember right now. If i remember right it's this one or close enough.

I have the EVGA GTX 660ti FTW+ 3gb version and I'm pulling 80k ppd on average with the advanced flag and my card is boosting to 1293mhz. Downclock the memory because that doesn't matter for folding and it lowers the temperature.

Might try the beta flag then. Downclocked memory -500mhz and upped core clock to 1200mhz. I should have known less cuda cores was going to give me less PPD. But I like the card nonetheless and it will satisfy my needs until 20nm comes out smile.gif

Edit: when I put my power and temptarget all the way up in precisionX, my %of TDP goes up from 60 to 80 but doesn't give me more PPD. Anyone knows why the %TDP goes up?

Dubbed I already tried that a couple of months back of having cpu at stock and the gpu with default clock of 1137 and that gave errors on the gpu slot (clock skew).
Did a different approach last night before going to bed and raised the gpu clock one notch from its 1137 to 1147 and added one notch to voltage and woke up this morning with no errors (yet).
Waiting for good WU to see PPD with this tweak (which is insignificant but working for now).
My asus factory overclock doesn´t get along with folding as far as I can see. Misbehaving like you said.
The gpu will boost to 1200mhz. Lets see how it works out. Thanks for feedback on your gpu clocks.

I don't know why you would keep it then - I would send it back ASAP to your reseller / manufacturer - sounds like a faulty GPU if it is failing on stock.

I dont see the correlation between a factory set overclock that fails with a certain program or client like folding home and a damaged card. The card works well with everything I do since I bought it this includes games, rendering, boinc overall normal basic use. Why should I change it in this circumstance. I dont think that hardware can be judged as faulty because of one certain program. I might be wrong but that's my opinion.

That one program is one of the msot important programs might I add! They should not give a card to you that is supposed to be stable and then fails under heavy load. Then it should be stated in warranty or website: We do not guarantee our overclocks to be stable in folding at home. I would try it at least. If you are okay with the downtime against the chance of getting a better overclocking card. There's nothing wrong with the card of course not. But they promised you stable clocks out of the box and it wasn't stable so they broke their promise. Enough reason for an RMA.

Im not sending it back or doing RMA. Period.
