That PSU has only 180w on the 12V Rail which is the Rail that most things in the PC use...
So ultimately it's a 200w power supply...

are you serious? How do you know? They're selling it saying that it gives 420W -.-

You figure out how much watts are on the 12v rail. That one had 15 amps, so 15x12 = 180 smile.gif

so when it says 400W, that's the max output it can provide but the actual output differs?

So all the cheap ones would provide much less than what they state. is that the case?

The power marked on them is only maximum peek power, have to count on at least 25% more then that.
