Hello from 0xD3ADB33F

Thread Starter
Hi all! I recently joined this community after being banned countless times from my past community (turns out people don't like realizing they are wrong and ask mods to ban you). Hopefully that will not happen here!

I am a programmer by hobby, and of course being so I am deeply involved with computers. I program in many languages for various platforms and I am hoping there will be a bit of a programming community here. My languages of choice is mainly C for windows and linux/unix although I have been growing fonder of Ruby. As for a little list of syntaxes I know: C, C#.net, VB.net, Ruby, Perl, Delphi, Pascal, Assembler (linux at&t syntax), VB6, and a few others that I wont be bothered listing.

I am also deeply involved in the world of computer security wither it be web application security or other means. I particularly like to dabble in overflow based exploitation for applications and enjoy creating new and unique shell codes used in the exploitation process.

I am also a hardware modifier. I have done many mods in the past on different pieces of hardware, one being that of my linksys wusb54g wireless adapter where I modified the existing antenna to contain a rsma pigtail so I could link it to my higher gain antennas such as my custom build biquad (which gives a hefty dba boost for its size). Another interesting mod I have created was a custom fitted NES, although It is not an ordinary NES. I tore it down right to bare bones and recreated most of its external parts to make it as compact as possible. I had to create a new power supply for it seeing how the original in the RF box was to bulky, and I also made a custom video amplifier, sound amplifier, and controller pads made of tactile switches. This coupled with a nicad battery and a small 4" LCD screen I was able to produce a hand held NES which used the original cartridges.

I am also an amateur photographer. My gear consists of, at the moment, a Canon t2i, the 18-55 kit lens, a Canon 50mm Prime 1.4f, and a few low grade attachments such as a Vanguard tripod and a canon remote shutter remote. I mostly shoot astronomy, but portraits and landscape scenes are of fascination as well.

Also can't forget I play games, most notably Final Fantasy 14 ARR, Perfect World International, Black light retribution, and a few other mmos and fps. I also enjoy hacking my PSP, the scene is much less known now in my opinion but for a small handful of change the PSP in my opinion is one of the best hand held emulation devices there is, and with a slight overclock is a pretty beastly machine.

This is most likely the longest intro I've written for a website, but then again over the years of being stationed at one community I haven't had to write many.

Hopefully I can entertain you with my humor and inform you with the vast knowledge I contain in specific topics and stay for a while.

Hello there!
Welcome to OCN!
By the looks of your 'resume' lol It looks like you have a lot to offer this community!
Most of the people here are quite relaxed, unless you are talking about AMD vs Intel lachen.gif
I suggest you read up the rules and get yourself acquainted with them, but most of them are common sense.
See you around the forums! thumb.gif
