[JBHIFI] Well 4K TVs have arrived in Australia

I've been away for the last 3 weeks and I come back to 4k TV's in stock. I went down to the local JBHIFI and inspected the goods and I must say they look the part. Amazing detail!!! Almost made it look 3d because of the detail. I dont know if the content I was watching was true 4k or upscaled 1080p. After looking at the 4k TV's I then looked at the top of the line 1080p TV's. My god the image looked rubbish almost like it was an old tube tv. The picture quality difference is quite significant as you would expect and I could go on and on about it but you need to see if for your self.

With 1080p content, the difference between LCD and OLED is more than LCD and upscaled 4K LCD. With 4k content, the 4k LCD wins, but most content currently available is 1080p.

I guess 5 thousamd is a bargain compared to 10,000 or 15,000

well in the UK certain shops would put all the 1080p tv's on crummy content, just like when they did when pushing 1080p, yes we know it's better but they like to make sure with a really bad image on the less expensive range smile.gif
