Lawl. Would be the most epic flip-flop ever.

Middle ground (not that I will be buying a console anyways):

Physical discs are as they were on 360. Disc goes in, you play, that's it. You can buy that same game online, and download and use the license anywhere you please. M$ wants more money, by pocketing the profit that game retailers make right? Extra features by buying online is going to make people try it out, and slowly kill the gamestops over the length of this console generation instead of instantly. People have options, and change happens more gradually.

my opinion ofc.

I re-learned windows, then I learned (noob style linux) via ubuntu and mint. I like both ubuntu and mint better than Windows 8. I still run 7 on my gaming pc though. I will never ever use the new windows experience they are forcing on me with 8. I will simply stick with 7 on devices I game on and use linux on my laptops. I full grasp that some people like Windows 8, but I would switch to OSX before I would be forced to suffer windows 8. Thankfully, I can still use 7 and Linux.

Previous policies of Xbox One were quite thought out, they would actually helped the industry and us. it's just that MS was unable to convey this to people and Sony put 1000 gallons of petrol on already flaming topic. Consider this, if old games cannot be sold, then everybody buys new one fetching the publisher much more money. And then in return they reduce the cost of new games, if MS had conveyed it to us there would have been no prob.

I guess PC gaming is just completely different because I have quite a few used PC games and have absolutely no expectations of ever selling them. I wouldn't mind that translating to consoles one bit as long as new game prices came down to the levels they are at on PC....

Or costs remain the same (or even rise) because there is no alternative and publishers want more money.

I did previously sign this. I was completely interested in a digital future and the family sharing. Hopefully they can bring back the features for the digital games and keep physical the way it is so everyone wins.

I highly doubt the price of games would go down, it would however greatly hinder the productivity of many game stores across the country and likely result in job loss on a rather large scale. I am not an economist though , so I could easily be wrong on both point. But I am pretty sure that used games is the only thing keeping Gamestop afloat atm.

I don't see what would be so bad about that.

actually i hope they did not. this was all caused by the greedy managers like ballmer and mattrick. pr can work with only what they get. and if the product is, well lets use word mess, then it all goes to hell

serving the customer, has never bankrupted a company, but hey i am sure there is a reason why I who hated sony for decades, now actually am warming up to a ps4.

yes i would really like it. i mean they should have not changed it and should have let it burn. that would have been epic and would have taught the corporations to fear their customers. just imagina what would EA do after seeing xbone burn like that, they might actually have a epiphany. ou who am i kidding tongue.gif

if cheap games cannot be sold then there will be no sales at all, because guess what if people dont have the money they will pxxxxe. also this would be against customer rights
