When I play League (haven't tested any other game, and it doesn't do this not in game), there will be black lines going down the screen. It's pretty faint but I do notice it. It's not 1px across but rather a chunk that's dark that goes down. Any idea? I'll see if it's there with DVI tomorrow. It doesn't do this with the HDMI to my old TV.

Also, I got no FPS gain with higher resolution, pretty sure lower FPS so a new CPU is on my list.

Thanks!

Edit: Here's a screenshot in game with CPU/GPU monitor on the monitor to the right. http://i.imgur.com/yWSmJQW.jpg

Edit 2: Could my PSU not be giving enough power? I doubt that'd be it. It's a 500w. This is it. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817171031

Edit 3: It happens to the BenQ even if I'm running LoL on my other monitor.

I would assume it's the VGA connector causing the problem. It's most likely noise from the analog conversion. Hooking up the DVI cable should fix the issue.

Yup that was it, thanks! The screen looks a LOT better with DVI. I wasn't happy with the picture yesterday with VGA but it looks really good with DVI.

Yeah I realize this now. Once I get ~$200 I'll get a new CPU/Mobo. Probably won't be for awhile though since I'm only 17 and trying to focus on school so I don't have a job.

Get the fastest stock 95w Phenom you can find for no more than $65, doesn't make sense to spend any more than that. Then get a new CPU/mobo combo when funds allow.
