This newest one i just got can do 1400+ on the core, but the memory craps out around +830 or so, so close to being great frown.gif

1400+ core? So it's doing well over 2ghz?

Also Gigabyte GTX 780 windforce 3 is like 426€ vs 626€ for the classy gtx 780, so I could add 200€ and SLI the gigabyte cards ( note that I could buy the ver1.0 ones with ref design so the LLC hack works so no voltage limitations + EVGA has blocks for the ref design cards for gigabyte) , god damn choices are killing me. Also there is the GTX 780Ti looming on the horizon if my choices werent difficult as is.
My last gigabyte GTX 780 did 1300 on the core.

Also at evga.com and most retailers it's only a $50 premium. I'm not saying $50 isn't a lot of money because it is but when already paying $649 for a gpu, it's definitely worth the extra $50. plus you do get the evbot support which you can save 4 voltage profiles for each gpu, I don't even use the software anymore. I just push one button when the computer starts and all 4 of my voltage settings are applied. It's so easy.

I know there is a software tool to adjust volts up to 1.35V but do I need to flash the BIOS of the Classified with one of the Skynet BIOS's to prevent issues ? + Rep for any help thanks!

Now gpuz reads the classified voltage properly. The classified software tool goes up to 1.35v and the evbot will take it to 1.5v which is the max. Now you can see it work right in gpuz, at the beginning you couldn't. It works great. The reason you will need to flash a custom bios is because once you start adding that much voltage you will exceed the stock power limit. There is an ln2 bios switch and I didn't start to throttle until roughly about 1.35v, but to really push the card you will want higher power limits than what the stock bios's offer.. With skyn3t's bios you can basically do anything you want. Even at 1.5v I still don't throttle on his bios. I think his bios maxes out at 587w. Also I have not had any issues going above 1.3v.

Skyn3t made a bios specifically for the classified based off the original bios's and it's on the first page of the owner's club.

The Classi premium is for the super beefy power section, it also has a thicker, wider, higher quality PCB..

the ACX is a ref 780 with the cooler slapped on it.

That pcb and power section is so beautiful. Everytime I look at it I fall in love. Wow the difference is really pronounced when seeing them side by side like that.

Is an Arctic III useful for a riced 780? Will it hit 1.5 Volts? Is the Classy's cooler better for it?

That is basically why they didn't actually do this ... massive negative reaction. I would almost be willing to bet that if EVGA even mentioned this again, the backlash would be the same and once again it wouldn't happen ... once again.
