First time SLI - 2 x 780's on a Asus Z87 Pro - Questions / help (lowish 3dmark score?)

Hi all,

First time going to SLI. Long story short, I have a 1900x1200 Asus monitor and the flickering / intermittent shutoffs were driving me nuts, I even went as far as RMA'ing my 780 thinking that was the problem. None the less it was the monitor and started researching for a new one. I ended up ordering one of the QNIX 1440p Korean monitors that OC to 120ish Hz, which will arrive tomorrow. With that said I went ahead and decided to go SLI for the first time. I have two GTX 780's setup on my Asus z87 Pro, I only had a chance to run two benchmarks last night before I had to hit the sack (early work day today).

Using 3DMark11, my score with a Single GTX 780 was roughly P13096 - Graphics Score 14267

Last night I popped in the other card, setup SLI in the control panel, rebooted and the score was P18500 - Graphics Score 24937

Granted I didnt get to run any additional benches, but just based on some other scores I saw and my single card performance I figured it would be much higher.

Is there anything I need to do / check / verify? Open to suggestions.

Thanks

my 1300 core sli 770 score about 23k so it does seem you score is a bit low. You sure adaptive vsync isnt turned on? dl gpuz and make sure you pci lanes are 8x, etc.

IDK maybe the scores are about right for stock 780s?

Adaptive is not on and verified that both PCI are 8x. Hoping to dig into this tonight when I have some time and do a few more benchmarks.

Not sure how to change the primary "rig" shown in my sig, however I'm running a 4770k now @ 4.5 with a Asus Z87 Pro.
