Personally i won't recommend a PSU lower than 550-600watts for gaming purposes, simply because of the often caused noise due to the heat provided by the power supply when it is trying to deliver its full power. The CM SP Gold - considering its effeciency and noise levels - its durable for everyone looking for a solid modular PSU in that price range.

I would definitely stick with the CPU you selected if this PC is all about gaming, there would not be much need of the hyper threading and the additional cache. However a few games today is better of with more cores and can actually increase performance for the additional threads the hyper-threading provides - nothing serious and nothing to worry about.

For the graphic i would probably go with AMD, as it probably would be cheaper performance wise/price. This would be the most important part of his gaming experience, just make sure you won't get any bottlenecks i5-4670k is just fine!

The RAM section, i'd go with some 1.5V 1600MHz 8GB. Find some you like, look for reviews or ask on the forum smile.gif

EDIT:
For the SSD part i can recommend a Samsung 840 Series, doesn't have to be the pro-series. Its solid and fast, and i'm sure that many others here on the forum would recommend it too. There are ofcourse others to choose from. If write speed also is important(which it often is not) then go for the pro series.
