Geforce GTX 660 TI Clock Speed Question

Hey everyone!

Just a quick question. New to overclocking and I really couldn't find anything about this.

Right now I'm in the Final Fantasy 14 Beta and I am using "Nvidia Inspector" to push my cards fan's to the max. (The game isn't fully polished yet with graphics and drivers until the final release next month)

I do notice that my "Current Clock" speed jumps between 823 to 1019 to 1163. Is this normal?? I haven't overclocked the card yet and everything is set to default.

My system specs are:

ASRock z77 extreme6 Motherboard
Intel 3570k
8 Gigs of Ram
Nvidia Geforce GTX 660 TI
Drivers 320.49

Thanks!

This is normal with the new "gpu boost" feature that nv has implemented in their 600 series. Your core clock will fluctuate depending on the current load the gpu is experiencing, and also what temperature your cards are running at. I believe that your cards will downclock once try hit the 70c threshold. I hope this has helped you out a bit!

The highest temps I'm getting is 43C. There's no way I can change it to farenheight in Nvidia Inspector can I?

Those are good temps. As far as displaying temperature in Fahrenheit, I'm pretty sure you cannot do that. It's really of no consequence anyway, most or all temperatures in the computer world are displayed in Celsius.
