I never got how people could compare DA with G400, DA is like 10x better. Its like comparing Core i5 against Bulldozer - its not rocket science so you can tell that one feels way smoother in apps, games etc...

All my DAs have jitter (2 3Gs, a 3.5G and a Black Edition) while my G400 has none, not even on the Qck+...

Cursor feeling in general is better with the DAs though for me.

3.5g with the legacy driver is fine at any other dpi step and the 4g is fine at any dpi step.

I'd wish that was the case, the 3.5G still has much lower max tracking rates at 900 and 450 dpi.

60Hz razer goliathus control edition.
This is my first gaming mouse and its really accurate for me, can get the cursor to any pixel without having trouble, i was going to get a Logitech G700 but alot of people told me DA 4g sensor is amazing.
EDIT: Sorry i don't know whats smoothing, i never researched about mouse sensors, just heard DA2013 sensor is very good but the build quality is kinda fragile because its all normal plastic, but since i dont throw it around at walls or drop it on the floor i just got it and didn't worry about it breaking.

You can't turn smoothing off via the software on the DA2013?

no, its in firmware to make 6400 dpi look less jittery
post #17 of 19
Well that is unusual Ino because my 3.5G Deathadder has literally ZERO jitter... its extremely accurate and precise. Not like the Abyssus which WAS quite jittery on the QcK + this particular DA with the latest firmware upgrade is very good.

What is smoothing?

I thought that the display's refresh rate would be a big factor for noticing "smoothing" because that is how many updates per second that the user would see, but overall performance and latency might effect the user more if the P.C. would not be fast enough to render enough frames or would have too much latency via other reasons.
