AMD System about to die?

Thread Starter
I was hoping to help my friend OC his 6100 and I told him he may need a few monitoring programs. He sent me a screenshot of HWMonitor to show he already had it. At that point I noticed something. After a little more discussion, I grew worried about his volts. Is his motherboard faulty, or is his PSU going to nuke the system?

the motherboard is reporting the wrong voltages...happens all the time

use a multimeter instead.

Indeed incorrect.

I saw an HP (Narra 5) MB that reported CPU voltage at 2.216V instead of 1.216V.

Narra5? LOL That's whats in my other rig. Would restarting the comp fix it? Or would it just be wrong period?

EDIT: I know mobos report incorrectly quite a bit, but this much? They are pretty much all wrong.

My Gamer Mobo reports down to 9.6V on the 12V rail under load, i am sure it would shut off by then. Just take a 4 pin Molex cable and stick a Multi meter to it and check.

I would def check PSU with PSU tester and/or volt meter to verify the PSU voltages. If all checks out then just mobo not reading properly(which does happen quite often)

Its just wrong.

Usually, the majority of Mb voltage measuring is relatively accurate.
The Los Cheapos Asrock n68c Mb is very accurate, my multimeter confirms.
