NEW FX - 9000 series motherboard support? - Page 2

Thread Starter
So the Asrock Extreme 9 should handle the damn thing, if I ever want to get the new CPU. Thanks guys! biggrin.gif

"why wouldn't you spend that on a 3970X? Their just better in every way, or even a 3930k"
Made the decision to buy them. Power consumption, couldn't care less if you produce 7Kw per day average. Also I have planed to get a 840 pro 128GB, but the PCI SSD's drives appear to be toying me.

"I agree. But not on the 3970X. The 3900X series are incredibly overpriced. Get a 3930k. Much better for the price."
I do admit 3930k is a very decent CPU but lacks value. If I were to upgrade to Intel within a year then that CPU along with the Gigabyte GA-Z87X-OC will be my first choice. (4th gen Intel not compatible with CMZ16GX3M4A1600C9B)

Get the 8320, the higher clocks ARE worth it.
