Guild Wars 2 problem when logging out

Thread Starter
I have an error message that pops up now and then when logging out or exiting to the desk top from Guild Wars 2. Not always, just sometimes.

When it comes up none of my browsers work. I have to reboot the computer or log off then log back on.

I tried googling and it brought back a search as nothing found. Never seen that before.

But here it is "The instruction 0xf3f71020 referenced memory at 0xf3f71020. The memory could not be written."

I have not seen this with anything else, but Guild Wars 2 is the only game that I play now and it is not much maybe 2 or 3 times a week.

Any one have any idea?

Have you tried repairing the game?

Guild Wars 2 Repair Instructions for Windows®

If you are having problems running Guild Wars 2, the data archive may have become corrupted. Please follow these steps to verify and repair the archive:

Locate your Gw2.exe file.
Right-click on the file and select Create shortcut.
Rename this new shortcut to Guild Wars 2 Repair.
Right-click on Guild Wars 2 Repair and select Properties.
Locate the Target line and add -repair to the end.
Example: “C:\Games\Guild Wars 2\gw2.exe” -repair
Click OK.
Double-clicking Guild Wars 2 Repair will begin the repair process. The game will launch when it is complete.

Note: Keep in mind that the verification and repair process will run each time you double-click the Guild Wars 2 Repair shortcut. If you would like to play the game immediately without repairing the archive, double-click on Gw2.exe or another shortcut without the -repair command.

Thanks.

Will try it. Never heard of that before.

Edit.

Tried it and no avail. I still have to log out or reboot computer.

It did do a repair on the game. Took about 10 minutes to repair and boot but I still get the error message logging out or exiting to desktop.

Thanks for the suggestion though.
