[Cinema Blend] EA Raises Prices Of Next-Gen Games - Page 3

Haha looks like I'll just have to wait an additional 6-12 months before buying EA games.

I have never spent over $40 on a game in my entire life, and I don't see that changing any time soon. Especially since my video game backlog is getting close to 300 strong...

The people who make these decisions obviously have no idea how to sell their games.

Higher priced games just means less people will buy them, thus less people will play them, thus less people will support them. This serves to hurt them and they'll gain nothing from it. Who cares if someone pays $85 for a game if 3 more who would have bought it for 60 don't?

Development costs shouldn't be this high anyway.

Another stupid decision by EA, just like the online pass, which is known for killing multiplayer games within the first few months.

Personally if I was them I'd sell the games for 60 physical and 45 digital. Although knowing EA they'd charge 60/60, because you know being unable to re-sell a game, and saving money on packaging/production/shipping isn't worth anything.
