overclocking 3570k: prime95 forced close

Thread Starter
Hi,
I'm pushing a bit my 3570k (z77x-ud3h mobo), by now is stable (12h small FFTs, 12h blend, 12h custom with p95) @ 4.5 with 1.248 vcore (cpu-z), temps 69-73-70-68, custom water cooling loop.

I tried to push it to 4,6@1.260 to 1.272, I didn't get BSOD's but prime95 failed :/, is it a vcore problem?

What should i do?

With the simplicity of overclocking these, I'd say that it's likely the core voltage. Try increasing it a few times, retrying in between each increase.

It's a computer!

Yeah its very likely your vcore. Your starting to get to the point where you have to raise your vcore at an increasing rate to reach each extra step in 100mhz clock.
