Picking a motherboard?

Hello guys.
I'm a bit of an amateur here, so i'm having trouble picking out components that suit the build i'm going for and my budget. I have no plans to overclock or anything like that but I want something that will run most new games on high-max settings.

So what I'm going for is:
i7 3770 CPU
8GB RAM
GTX 660 or 760 (can't decide between whether the 760 is worth the extra stretch either)
USB3.0 and SATA3 seems pretty standard on most boards these days.

So does it really matter greatly the Mobo I pick? Should I be looking at something in the $65-80 range?

As that is not a K series CPU so can't be overclocked you don't need a Z77 board a h77 or B75 board would be enough. Something like a Gigabyte GA-H77M-D3H or even cheaper a GA-B75M-D3H (though this has less SATA 6GB/s and USB 3.0 ports).

As to the Graphics card always buy the best card you can possibly afford at the time. If the build is mainly a gaming build you could drop that i7 to an i5 and have more cash for the GPU (most games don't benefit much from the i7). Infact for the price of that i7 and a H77 board you could get an i5 3570k and a Z77 board then overclocking becomes an option in the future if needed.

That's interesting what you said about the CPU. Where is the i7 more useful than the i5 then? I plan to use it for multimedia stuff as well though I'm not sure how frequently.

Heavily threaded stuff, streaming, video editing (at a higher level than a few youtube montages), 3D modelling, etc. Gaming it may only gain a couple of FPS at best over an i5 at the same clock speed so not massively worth the extra cost.
