You could go with some nice universal blocks, both Swiftech and EK make ones with bridges (though I think the swiftech is for parallel only).

I'd say if you can get a used 7970 Lightning, get it!. They're so freakin' fast, and they've got the extra GB of VRAM over at stock 770 (2GB), and the 4GB versions are most of the time more than a 7970 Lightning. There was a 7970 Lightning for sale for $420 I think, and compared to the base price for a decent 770 (about $400), it's a steal. That's just my thoughts though smile.gif

Wait for the lightning 780's. Since Fermi, Nvidia has been nerfing reference designs hardcore. Lightnings are VASTLY superior to everything else nvidia wise for that reason. You can disable temperature and power target throttling (LN2 BIOS), increase power limit to 300%, software voltage control +100mv plus the ability to go up to +200mv via software hack. I can bench my 680 at 1.47v with zero hardware modifications. Also the cooler is about as good as air cooling gets.

My dream card is 780 lightning with aqua block. I'm gonna SMOKE all your titans

It's true though. If someone is looking to get the most performance for their dollar, flagship cards are not the way to go. They are for pursuit of performance and geared towards a specific demographic. Most people who buy these high end cards don't mind spending the extra, and generally upgrade at least every other generation anyway (if not EVERY generation).

If the OP has the money to spend on components, by all means grab a high end card and SLI it in the future. No need to miss out on extra performance if you can afford not to thumb.gif

I love the lightning cards and stand behind the fact they are vastly superior for sure, if i end up buying another card and a water block is released for the 780 lightning ill almost die, as money isn't an issue i think my most desirable option is to wait until 780 lightning is released and then wait a little longer for a waterblock, my mate has to wait 1-2 months to buy my current card so it all works out good on that front.
At first i wanted to SLI 670's but call me fussy, i did not like the fact watercooled they were quite short compared to other cards and i considered SLI or CF some different mid range cards but i think ill stick with the 780, and another factor in pretty much all my build is bragging rights and just sheer power.
thanks again, Blake

The bang for your buck factor is exponentially decreased as you move into the high end. Nobody buys a 780 or Titan or 7990 because it's the best performance you can get for your dollar. I think most people know that going into such a purchase.

Who the heck mentioned the high end as if the mere mention of it causes logic to fly out the window? Just because you blow a stupid amount of money on a product you WANT, it doesn't mean things like value have no meaning. And it's obvious that a 780 at $350 less for 95% of the performance has a ton more value. Anyways, that's not really my point though fans never reply on point so I shouldn't expect it. That said the new amd card will be out soon so logically it behooves one to wait just a little bit longer to see how the chips stack up. Hell, even the classy and lightning 780s are on the horizon and they are most likely worth waiting for.
