PSU for Dual High-End Cards

I know there are a lot of threads about this, but this one will probably be a lot easier to answer than most.
I have a FX 8350 and a single GTX 680 FTW right now. I know how much power I will be needing for the other parts of my computer - I only need to know what I will need for GPU+CPU later on.

What I will be doing is OCing my GPU when I need to, then adding another 680FTW down the road in SLI when the OC won't keep up. I will revert my 680 back to stock, so I would have two stock FTW's running in SLI. Hopefully by then, we will be a couple generations past 9X0 series. Of course, I will be OCing my CPU, but only a little - my cooling isn't that great. I will be upgrading to SR if it's worth it, if not, I'll wait for EX. I may not be getting a second 680 until AM4.

Right now, I have a Corsair TX850W. Plenty of power for me now, but was wondering when I would see it's limits. My extra peripherals are only taking about 40W max, and I know about energy efficiency. I know my TX850 won't give me 850W of power, but I do know I am in the sweet spot for efficiency now.

Also: I don't want to hear anything about "You FX won't handle SLI no matter what revision you have". Shut up, I don't care. Like I said, I'm not getting a second card until AM4.

You have far more than enough power for dual gtx 680 OC'd. Dual stock clocked gtx 680's will pull around 400-450W max.

And efficiency works the other way around. The power supply will output 850W no matter the efficiency (assuming it's a quality unit).

So if your system draws 850W and your psu is say 85% efficient then you will pull 1000 watts from the wall.

Really? I mean say I get my CPU to 4.5GHz and put both cards at 100% speed - I fold on my machine when it's idle. Wouldn't that pull like 700W+? Well, I guess for gaming I would be in the safe zone. I wonder how the next revisions of FX are going to be on power draw.

And sorry for not mentioning folding

Well I don't think your FX is going to pull 300 watts by itself, but even if it does somehow, add that to 450W from the gpu's and you are only at 750W and you have a decent 850W psu.
