Biostar A85W FM2 mobo missing plastic bumper to attach heatsink

Hello all,
Just bought the aforementioned motherboard from a member on hardforum. However it came with no plastic bumper thing that you clip the cpu heatsink to. I have contacted the member about it, but in the case they don't have it and also for my impatience, is this piece universal? Can I replace it with a similar bumper amd wise to clip a cpu heatsink to or does it have to be from another Biostar A85w mobo? Can you even buy these separate? What are they even called? Any help/ideas/would be appreciated.

Is the plastic bumper something that locks the heatsink down? I'm trying to figure out why someone would sell you a mobo with one of those removed. Since they have screws I'm pretty sure they're standardized across any mobos of this particular socket however I don't know where you can obtain a FM2 mount bracket. The seller probably removed them possibly for a waterblock I would guess that's why they're missing.

ahh yes, a mounting bracket that is what it is. And yes it looks like the backplate from the cm hyper 212 evo or 212+ is installed in its place. would i be able to use the mounting bracket from a fm1, am3[+], or am2 system? or are all these different? here is an image of the mounting bracket on a normal mobo that i am talking about....

In short, yes. You can strip the back plate and the brackets off any other AM2, AM3, AM3+, FM1, or FM2 motherboard. They aren't all the same, but they all should be the same size. If you're mounting a stock cooler, it shouldn't be hard to find someone that has a dead motherboard that will just give you the parts.

Alright cool thanks for the help! I will probably just buy one from Frys for $3... Probably what I would pay for shipping or less if I tried to get it from someone with a dead board. Thanks for the idea and help though opcode. Rep given to both of you!
