Will I notice a difference in gaming between 4.2 and 4.5 GHz on a 3570k?

Hi, I was just curious to know wether I'm really gaining anything from 4.5GHz, since my case is quite small, heat does become a factor so i was thinking of bringing down to 4.2, will there actually be a difference at all?

I think it all depends on what type of games you play.

I am no expert in this in still trying to research my components to see what I should buy and if I should even invest in a expensive motherboard or not

If you're into games, you cant feel much of a difference because games normally depends on the GPU.

Nope.

Nope. Anything above 4.0(really 3.8) isn't worth the heat - per diminishing returns.

So if not overclocking and only using one graphics card is their any reason to buy a expensive mobo besides like sound and Sata features?

If you're referring to intel, then no. Remember if youre not overclocking at all get a non k chip, along with a h87/h77 board since they are cheaper and dont have the advanced overclocking features compared to the others (z77)

Good volts you have there. You can try to run Prime 95 w/ 80%-90% memory usage atleast 12 hours for stability. Because if you can do this, more often than not, you're rig will be stable for 24/7 use.
