Need some 120x12mm fans!

Thread Starter
Due to not having enough space for normal 25mm fans, I'm looking for some 120x12mm fans that are fairly decent and cheap for radiator use.

Can anyone point me in the right direction? I was looking at Scythe Slip Streams but I heard they are terrible for radiator use and am having trouble finding alternatives.

maybe you have a picture showing why you dont have room and someone could point out some other options rather than thinner fans

Hi by the way....

Does this help ? My friend has the Gelid's. Theyre really quiet. But uhhh im not sure if theyre great for static pressure.

If you can fit something slightly wider yate loon makes some 120x20mm fans. If not scythes would get my vote, regardless neither are ideal for a radiator.

Yeah that's a decent selection, but I'm wondering if anyone knows how the static pressure on those Gelids? The Scythes are awful from what I have heard.

FYI guys I don't have room because the rad at the top of my case hits my motherboard with standard fans (350D is the case). I am not so sure a 120x20mm fan would work. It would be cutting it super close if it does.

slim fans will have poor static pressure, there is noway around it

not sure what radiator you are using but you might be better off with a slim rad or low fin density rad where static pressure is less critical

Im not exactly sure if this source is credible or not, i simply googled for "gelid slim fan review" and found this.

Just bought the 20mm yate loon for a temporary solution.

I have a 35mm rad and if you add 25mm fans on that it's 60mm and that is slightly too much and doesn't clear the motherboard 8 pin connector. So it looks like is what I need to do is get a slim rad 30mm-ish and use normal 25mm fans to be able to clear. So I'll be getting that once I get some monies. Thanks for the help. thumb.gif Reps to those who were helpful wink.gif

The only 15mm fan I know of that seems to perform is the Prolimiatech Ultra Sleek Vortex 14.. and they don't make it in 120mm. You can see it only moves 27-38cfm@.0.4mm H2O in the graph.

Maybe mount fans on top of case?
