the bezel is misleading I but I'm not horribly concerned about it and the contrast isn't as good, according to reviews blacks aren't "that" black. I would probably still be an improvement over the contrast on one I'm using tongue.gif

I don't hold my breath with rebates because I got screwed on my 20$ rebate when buying my 7870XT. but is the brand switch and losing the 3d (which from what I read is poo) for $20? its closer to my perfered 150$ xD

I think I'd much rather have the cheaper and better quality Acer that I linked previously than that AOC, especially when you look at the review comments for both of them.

Also to your question above, don't worry about 3D, it's just a gimmick...not worth spending extra money on.

Eh, I dunno, that 3D Asus is just so ugly, heh...I wonder if there are any other speaker solutions...that was just the first one I came across, there may be another method for using external speakers...

I don't want 3d, its just extra when I was trying to find a monitor with speakers.

It would'nt be cheaper, (maybe by a little) after i go out and buy specific cables, speakers and have worse quality on my 360 just to have sound.

I have close to 0 room for speakers. my keyboard and mouse pad go corner to corner on my table and my stand for my TV hits up against my keyboard. I really don't have the space, If i were to mount them, that's just more money.

I just want some decent IPS with speakers, Its like finding a unicorn.

The Asus 3d and the AOC were the cheapest ones I could find that had the ports I need and speakers.

What makes the Acer better then the others?
from the reviews i've read there are a few problems with it, the stand, HDMI has washed out colors, and that it doesn't have speakers. arrowheadsmiley.png

If I could have that same monitor with speakers for 170 or under, I'd take it.

but it looks just to get speakers I have to drop the extra $ which puts my choices closer to 200 then my original budget, which kills any chance of me getting a mouse, my current one is breaking down finally after 5 years. tongue.gif
