Then there's nothing to argue over. It doesn't take more talent to be a nuclear physicist then it does to be a top tier soccer player. Moving on, it also doesn't take less talent to be a top tier SC2 player. You can't quantify it, but the one thing we can say, it that only a few dozen are nuclear physicists working in top secret labs. Just like there are only a few dozen soccer players whose contracts are worth several million dollars. Just like there are only a few dozen SCII players that have won major tournaments.
how much money is spent is irrelevant, considering much of the money spent on scientific research goes to things other than padding scientists' salaries. the reality is either way, one group makes contributions to society that benefit all humanity. the other? i mean i guess they provide entertainment
