^^ I'm not even sure a 4770k under water can push a 460 to 100% in Planetside 2.

Other than that, you're fine. My 6850s are about the same as 460 SLI, and my Phenom II keeps up with 2 of em.

I use an overclocked FX-6300 (4.4GHz) and it hasnt bottlenecked anything yet. Sure it sucks sometimes on a game that barely even uses the GPU and is only coded for 1 core, those are the few times I wish I had a 4670K, but those times are very few and far between. Even then it isnt the processors fault, but rather a very poorly coded game that really just wont run well no matter what. In benchmarks for various games that use a GPU well my FX-6300 does perfectly fine in everything and my benchmark scores are the same as people running Sandy, Ivy, or Haswell stuff.

You should see what happens when you post an Intel vs. AMD thread, lol.

+1
I wouldn't go past SLI GTX 660's as a max ceiling for that CPU.
but SLI 460's for sure no problem.

easy bro, a 4770K clocked certainly could.

You sure? Haven't played in a month or 2, but I thought sustaining 40FPS in big fights was basically impossible with shadows turned on.

Planetside 2 without a tweaked ini is an extreme, extreme exception anyway, pretty much every rig is CPU bottlenecked.

I cant push an underclocked 7970 with a 5ghz 3930k on planetside. Most of the time 40% gpu usage at 1440p
