Upgrade Advice Required Please, Thanks.

Hi all I have only just joined this forum mainly for some upgrade advice, I have searched Google and found no sites with the information I require. Here goes, currently I am running a system with the current specs;

Intel Pentium Dual Core E5500 overclocked from 2.8ghz to 3.45
ASRock G31M-S R2.0 Socket 775 Motherboard
4Gb DDR2 overclocked to 970Mhz running Dual Channel
ASUS AMD Radeon 6670 1Gb GDDR5 overclocked from 810mhz core to 850mhz and memory running at 4100mhz
80Plus Rated 550watt modualr PSU
60Gb Corsair Nova SSD
500Gb SATA 2 Storage Drive

My question is I have been considering buying an AMD A6 6400K @ 3.9ghz dual core with a socket FM2 motherboard and 4Gb DDR3 in dual channel so that I can Hybrid Crossfire my HD6670 with the APU's HD 8470D, how much performance would I gain? as this upgrade would cost about £150 For

AMD A6 6400K APU

Gigabyte F2A85XM-HD3 Motherboard

Kingston HyperX 4GB Dual Channel Kit

Any advice would be appreciated and maybe benchmark results for the 6400k running xfire. thanks.

Personally I would avoid hybrid crossfire, it can be slower than a single 6670 not to mention the microstutter.

This is a tough one for me with that budget, you could upgrade to a 4 or 6 core AMD FX CPU and keep you current GPU. A 4300 will cost around £80 and you can get a good AMD board for £70

This board maybe? I am not to familuar with AMD so you may want to wait for others, but I think it will be fine

but if you want to play game you may want to upgrade the GPU, a 7850 would be good.

Thanks for the reply main reason I am wanting to upgrade is I play Star Wars The Old Republic and on my current set up I can play in 1080p with nearly all full settings but no AA @ about 35fps with an occasional drop to about 20fps in heavily populated areas I just want to be able to play without that occasional stutter LOL My budget is closer to £200 but would also like another cpu that I can overclock the f#@k out of just because i'm greedy and find it fun to see how much I can get out of my set up. I have considered buying a better motherboard for my current cpu to be able to overclock it further and use ddr3 then I could afford another 6670 and just xfire the 2 6670s, would this produce better results? I am using a Zalman CNPS12X cpu heatsink and fan and know this cpu could reach 4ghz oc but my current board wont allow me to up the voltage!

Avoid low end card cross fire it will be a nightmare of stutters. Try to get a 7790 or a 7850 they would be a better choice
