W7 64 bit refusing to show all 8GB of ram (5.99 usable)

I should have 16 GB of ram but one of ram stick is bad.

New build

Windows 4 Ultimate x64 shows 8GB of ram under basic information but it also says that only 5.99 GB is usable ram.

WTH eck

Could this be caused by my APU? Its an A10-6800k

Thanks

Yes the APU will take some of that RAM and use it for its self.

I think you would be fine with 1 GB of RAM for the APU and much less if you are not gaming , just go into the bios and change it.

THE APU uses system ram just like onboard video used to.

W7 said 6.21GB was usably before I rebooted.

I cant wait until I can get my new RMA ram. I am waiting on another RMA, 600GB VR. Once that gets in I will test the system again.

Posting from my old computer so no GPU-Z. I wont be using my new computer until I get my RMA parts back and until I can figure out how to control my PWM fans.
