yup always use highjack, I'm not sure what I shut down as I already have few or next to none for start up services but under services Ichecked hide all microsoft sevices then clicked disable to the rest of them and now my problem has seem to have went away.good I guess but I would like to know what it was

oh and as for highjackthis, i go here http://www.hijackthis.de/ and cop'n paste my log then click analyze. much quicker than waiting for a day for someone to respond
